First of all, you need to buy an astronaut special career pack or boss mode, if you want to pursue an astronaut career. The other steps include:

Select the country where you can pursue an astronaut career such as Canada, India, Japan, Australia, France, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Hungary, Germany, United Kingdom, or the United States.

Begin your character with high Smarts and Health stats. This will help in excelling academically and staying fit.
